My name is Erin Thomson and I would love to thank you for presenting me a scholarship.  I was greatly surprised to hear my name being called in front of the abundance of people present at the awards night.  This money will help me very much with in the next coming school year.  I am attending Elmhurst College in the fall of 2006 and this money will be able to be used for my books.  I am very happy that your foundation chose me as the Johnsburg High School recipient for 2006

Thank-you! Thank-you! I am so honored to have been selected to receive this scholarship! The feeling I got when I realized you granted me this scholarship was one of being humble, and so excited to be selected!  This was only matched by the expression on my parents face when they found out I won! What fun! 

I want you to know that this money will be put to good use, as I can only attend the Univerisity of Wisconsin on scholarship and grant money.  You have helped me so much, and it is important to me that you know how hard I plan on working a college in academics and gymnastics.  Your faith in me will help me to do my very best, organized my time, and learn to live on my own. 

I have contacted my counselor, Lori Smithe at Carmel High School, to send the necessary last semester grades for your review.
